CJC-1295 DAC Peptide
CJC-1295 DAC is a synthetic peptide that researchers believe may act similarly to growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), potentially stimulating the body’s own production of growth hormone (GH). This peptide is a 29-amino acid analog of GHRH, making it the shortest functional fragment that still appears capable of triggering GH release from the somatotroph cells located in the anterior pituitary. In CJC-1295 DAC, four of the original 29 amino acids have been replaced, which may enhance the peptide’s pharmacokinetic properties and extend its biological half-life.
The DAC component, or Drug Affinity Complex, is a biochemical addition that is thought to further prolong the peptide’s half-life by binding to circulating plasma proteins. Specifically, the DAC involves the attachment of a lysine derivative called N-epsilon-3-maleimidopropionamide to the C-terminal end of the peptide. This modification is proposed to increase the stability of CJC-1295 DAC in the bloodstream, extending its half-life to roughly 8 days while maintaining a strong affinity for GHRH receptors, similar to CJC-1295 without DAC.
It is important to note that CJC-1295 without DAC still holds research relevance. For instance, combinations of CJC-1295 without DAC and Ipamorelin have been studied for their potential synergistic effects, as pairing GHRH analogs with peptides that target ghrelin receptors in the pituitary may amplify GH secretion from somatotroph cells.
Overview
CJC-1295 DAC is also referred to as CJC-1295, CJC-1295 with DAC, DAC:GRF, long-acting GHRH analog, or synthetic GHRH analog. As a growth hormone-releasing factor, this peptide has been investigated for several potential effects:
-
Fat reduction and muscle gain: By stimulating GH release, CJC-1295 DAC may support the breakdown of fat for energy and promote protein synthesis, potentially increasing lean muscle mass.
-
Bone and connective tissue support: Growth hormone may aid bone growth and strengthen joints and connective tissue, so CJC-1295 DAC could improve bone density and reduce the risk of injury.
-
Sleep regulation: GHRH is suggested to influence sleep centers in the nervous system, and analogs like CJC-1295 DAC may replicate this effect, potentially enhancing sleep quality.
